There’s an innumerable variety of shoes in the market, particularly for women. Women like to have a variety of shoes for different occasions and they like to keep changing the designs and styles of shoes. Nevertheless, high heels continue to remain popular all the time and is a kind of must have shoe for any woman. Most women prefer to use high heels and consider low heal shoes outdated and dull. However, women using high heels for long have to face the consequences by way of ill health. Here is a fair comparison of the two most often used kinds of heels and tells you how may continue using high heels without harming your health in the process.

High Heels

It’s not difficult to understand that your body weight is transferred to heels, but as you wear high heels, part of the weight is transferred to and ball-of-the foot. The cumulative effect is excess of stress on your bones, muscles and tendon thus affecting your walking posture. Therefore, their prolonged use tends to develop Achilles tendonitis, bunions, fallen arches etc. With high heels one is led to directing the central mass of body frontward and that causes vertebrae to bend backwards for balancing. That’s what causes you back pains.

Though wearing of high heels is not conducing to good health, the desire to use these shoes is always there. Wearing them not only enhances the looks of your feet but also allows you to appear seductive. So, one should take care of certain factors for enjoying using this style of footwear. Some of these are listed below:

* Avoid frequent wearing of this footwear. Let them be for some special occasions which won’t demand you to remain standing for long
* It is desirable and more sensible to opt for 4 cm high heel for casual wear whereas 5 cm high is more appropriate for occasional wear and being comfortable.
* You should choose high heel sandals that come with straps on the instep. That prevents your feet from sliding forward and reduces stress on your toes.
* This kind of footwear is not meant for walking long distances as it could cause foot pain or develop blisters on feet.

Low Heels

Usually, it is bit difficult to carry with high heels; they are rather hard on your feet. It’s thus a better option to go for moderate or low heeled shoes. You get such shoes also in the styles you like and provide better levels of comfort.
Kitten heels too are a type of low heels. Their design goes to develop a posture that makes your body develop sexy curves, giving you very seductive looks. Compared to high heeled sandals, you can wear them for longer durations. Unlike high heels, these sandals don’t cause much harm to your feet, while allowing you to look sexy and feminine.
